Courtney Smotkin

Courtney Smotkin has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Teacher at Stephen Gaynor School since September 2016. Previously, Courtney held roles as a Student Teacher at PS 158 The Bayard Taylor School and Brooklyn New School. Additionally, a background in curriculum development includes positions as Assistant Curriculum Development Manager and Maker Fellow at MakerState. Early experiences as a Summer Camp Counselor at Science Museum Of Long Island and a Summer Program Counselor at Manhasset/Great Neck EOC further enriched Courtney's educational expertise. Courtney holds a Master's degree in Cognitive Science from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Early Childhood Special Education Programs and Psychology from New York University.
