Tim Black

Tim Black is an accomplished data engineering professional with extensive experience in transportation analytics and software development. Currently serving as Principal Data Engineer at StreetLight since March 2020, Tim has previously held positions as an Analyst in Film Media Analytics at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, and as an LADOT Data Analyst for the City of Los Angeles. Additionally, Tim has contributed to academia as an instructor at the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies, where programming boot camps were designed for graduate students. Tim's work includes the development of Python software for box office forecasting, the implementation of ETL pipelines, and the creation of dashboards for Vision Zero initiatives. Tim holds a Master of Urban Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
