Scot Fickes has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pet food industry. Scot started their career as the President of Deep Run Packing Co., Inc. in 1984 and held the position until 1998. After that, they worked as the Director of Wet Pet Food at Doane Pet Care from 1998 to 2001. In 2001, they became the Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O.) at PetLife Foods, Inc. for a year. Scot then joined Sunshine Mills, Inc. in 2002 as the Director of Co-Manufacturing and held the position until 2008. After leaving Sunshine Mills, they became the General Manager at Simmons Pet Foods from 2008 to 2011. Currently, they are the Director of National Accounts at Sunshine Mills, Inc. since 2011.
Scot Fickes completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from Saint Joseph's University in the years 1980-1984. Scot then pursued higher education at the Erivan K. Haub School of Business, part of Saint Joseph's University, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Food Marketing from 1988-1994. Following this, Scot Fickes attended Westminster Theological Seminary from 1994-1996, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Christian Education.
