Arnel Hemady

Arnel Hemady is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and technical leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer at Swapcard since September 2021, Arnel previously held key positions including Technical Lead at Satellite Office and Head of Engineering at eWise, where responsibilities included managing the Software Engineering Department and overseeing product architecture and cloud infrastructure. Arnel's earlier roles include Lead SDK Engineer and Development Support Team Lead at eWise, as well as Technical Analyst at SunGard. Arnel's career began with the Army Management Information Center, where responsibilities included designing web applications for the Philippine Army. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines, Arnel has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development and leadership within the tech industry. Notably, Arnel finished third in the Philippine Army Special Basic Military Training Class of 2006 and served as class Vice President.
