Andrea McArdle has extensive work experience in the environmental and education sectors. Andrea worked as a Lead Environmental Planner and Project Environmental Planner at SWCA Environmental Consultants starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were an Environmental Professional at Los Alamos National Laboratory from August 2022 to December 2022. Andrea also worked at SWCA Environmental Consultants as an Associate Environmental Planner and Biologist from June 2019 to June 2022 and from May 2018 to June 2019, respectively. In these roles, they conducted surveys, wrote reports, and conducted field work related to environmental conservation.
Before entering the environmental field, Andrea worked as a Biology Teacher at Rio Rancho Public Schools from August 2017 to August 2018. Andrea assisted in developing lesson plans, instructing students, and creating individualized education plans. Andrea also gained experience as a Greenhouse and Research Facility Manager at The University of New Mexico from June 2016 to December 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at The Ohio State University from August 2014 to June 2016.
Andrea McArdle obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The Ohio State University. Andrea attended the university from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in PSMJ Project Management from PSMJ Resources, Inc. in November 2021, and a USFWS Mexican Spotted Owl Inventory Survey Permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in April 2019.
