Rick Knauth's work experience includes various roles in the renewable energy sector. Rick began their career in 1987 as a Rural Development Water and Sanitation Engineer for the US Peace Corps and United Nations DTCD. From 1994 to 1998, Knauth worked as an International Project Developer for Coastal Power Company. In 2001, they joined El Paso Merchant Energy as Vice President of Project Development, overseeing the development of independent power projects. From 2004 to 2010, Knauth served as an Asset Manager for Northern Star Generation, responsible for managing contracts and financial performance. Rick then worked at Vestas as Director of Business Development, leading sales negotiations and agreements for wind turbines. In 2013, Knauth joined CAMS as Vice President of Asset Management, overseeing a team responsible for managing and negotiating contracts for private power generation facilities. Most recently, they have held roles at CAMS, including Co-President of Renewable Services and EVP of Asset Management. In 2023, they will assume the role of Chief of Asset Management at Swift Current Energy.
Rick Knauth completed their education at Tulane University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Rick then pursued further studies at The Johns Hopkins University from 1992 to 1994, receiving a Master's degree in International Relations and Economics.
