Rebecca Histed

Rebecca Histed is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in advanced manufacturing and materials processing. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Switch since November 2024, Rebecca previously held the same title at Redwood Materials and worked as a Mechanical Engineer II at Panasonic Energy of North America. A graduate research assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno, Rebecca focused on innovative areas such as inkjet printing, additive manufacturing, and ultrasonic welding. With a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, Rebecca contributed to various projects, including developing compact snow removal systems and mentoring students in engineering coursework.
