Eric Desage has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Eric started their career as an Apprentice Engineer at Atmel Corporation from September 2003 to September 2006. Eric then worked at Total as a Studies Engineer from March 2007 to August 2008. Later, they joined Schneider Electric as a Field Service Engineer from January 2009 to January 2015. Since February 2015, Eric has been associated with Syngenta, where they initially served as a Functional Safety Manager - Automation Engineer until October 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Safety Compliance Lead at Syngenta starting from November 2020.

- From 2022 to 2023, Eric studied English at Centre de langues Berlitz Lausanne.

- In December 2013, Eric achieved the certification of Functional Safety Professional from TÜV SÜD.
- In January 2011, Eric obtained the TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification from TÜV Rheinland AG.
