Eric Stevens, Ph.D.

Eric Stevens, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in scientific research and academia. In 2014, they served as a National Science Foundation Research Intern at Auburn University. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry. During this time, they quantified chemical compounds from white pine and sugar maple bark and assisted in teaching chemistry. In 2015, they were a Department of Energy Research Intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they examined self-assembly kinetics and analyzed structural features of poly(3-alkylthiophene) derivatives. In 2021, they completed a Biology R&D Internship at Zymergen. Currently, they are a Scientist I at Viridos, starting in 2022. Eric Stevens has also pursued higher education, holding the role of Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis from 2017 to 2022.

Eric Stevens, Ph.D. completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Eric pursued further studies at the University of California, Davis, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology.
