Nelson Vaz

Nelson Vaz is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in business development and commercial operations within the aviation industry. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development at TAP Air Portugal since October 2023, Nelson previously held prominent roles at Dornier Seawings GmbH, where responsibilities included Head of Worldwide Sales & Marketing and Head of Aircraft Development Program. Prior to this, a tenure at OGMA (Embraer Group) encompassed positions as Vice President & CCO and Vice President of MRO Services. Nelson's career at TAP Portugal spanned over a decade, culminating in various leadership roles such as Deputy Vice President - Operations Brazil and Senior Operations Advisor. Early experience includes design engineering roles at Airbus and GECI International. Nelson holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
