Sharon Kaplinsky is the Founder and CEO of Star Tree Ventures Ltd., a boutique investment house specializing in deal-making for global investors and Israeli companies in the advanced technology market since June 2014. Kaplinsky serves on the Board of Directors for Ramot at Tel Aviv University Ltd., facilitating the commercialization of scientific discoveries, and for TAU Ventures, supporting early-stage ventures within the Tel Aviv ecosystem. Formerly, Kaplinsky founded Orphan Technologies, which was acquired by Retrophin in a $517 million deal, and held positions at Defined Health and Columbia University's Technology Transfer Office. Kaplinsky holds an MA in Biotechnology from Columbia University, a certification from Stony Brook University, and a BSc in Biology from Tel Aviv University.
