Abhik Banerjee has worked in various research positions in the field of battery technology. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, where they focused on the synthesis of new materials for solid-state sodium-ion batteries. Abhik also developed conformal coating techniques for solid electrolytes and optimized anode and cell configurations. In 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at KPIT, where they designed a project for high-rate sodium-ion batteries. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California San Diego, working on the synthesis of novel solid electrolytes for lithium and sodium-ion batteries. Currently, they are a Principal Scientist and team leader at TCG CREST's Research Institute of Sustainable Energy (RISE), where they focus on overcoming challenges in solid-state battery technology and enabling safer and higher-performance batteries.
Abhik Banerjee received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Material Chemistry from the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune. Abhik pursued this degree from 2009 to 2015.
