Sarah Vowles

Sarah Vowles has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sarah is currently the Director of Sustainability & Corporate Communications at Tecan, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Director of Communications & Sustainability at Tecan from August 2021 to April 2023. Sarah also served as a Sustainability Manager at IWC Schaffhausen from September 2018 to July 2021. Additionally, they have worked as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Quantis International from November 2017 to April 2018 and as an Editorial Contributor at Helvetas since April 2016. Earlier in their career, Sarah held various roles at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, including Corporate Responsibility, Communications, and Change Manager from February 2008 to October 2017. Before that, they worked as a Legal Counsel and Litigation Manager for the Federal Government of Canada from October 2003 to July 2007, where they won a Deputy Minister's team award for creativity and innovation. Sarah also worked as a Freelance Communications and Project Manager from 1992 to 1999.

Sarah Vowles obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Geneva in 2015-2016. Prior to that, they received a J.D. degree in Law from the University of Ottawa in 1999-2002. Sarah also holds a B.A. degree in Peace + Conflict Studies from the University of Toronto, earned during the period of 1992-1998.
