Kurt Vanmechelen

Kurt Vanmechelen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data architecture and distributed systems. Currently serving as a Senior Data Architect and Product Owner for the Data & Analytics Platform at Telenet since September 2015, Kurt focuses on big data architecture, information governance, and leveraging data analytics to foster digital innovation. Prior to Telenet, Kurt held roles as a Post-doctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Antwerp, where responsibilities included research in distributed systems and teaching various courses in Computer Science. With a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Antwerp and several executive education credentials from Vlerick Business School, Kurt possesses a strong academic foundation and a commitment to advancing knowledge in data-driven technologies.
