Bilal Sheikh

Bilal Sheikh is an accomplished cybersecurity and IT leader with extensive experience in enterprise security architecture and strategic management. Currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Security Architecture & Strategy at TELUS since August 2020, Bilal leads a national team focused on safeguarding enterprise assets and developing a comprehensive cybersecurity roadmap. Previously, as Director of Application Services at CIBC, Bilal oversaw critical systems through various leadership roles centered on design and strategy. Bilal's foundational experience includes positions at Hewlett-Packard as Account Delivery Manager, where operational excellence for a Tier 1 financial institution was emphasized, and as Principal Team Lead at Bell Canada, overseeing health IT infrastructure and security. Bilal began a career in IT as a Network Analyst at Dynamic Consultants and as an IT consultant at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Bilal holds a Master's degree in Network Engineering from Ryerson University.
