Scott Bertch

Scott Bertch has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Scott currently holds the role of Vice President and Clinical Manufacturing Site Head at Tenaya Therapeutics since February 2023. In this position, they are responsible for overseeing the development and operations of a GMP, clinical manufacturing plant to support gene therapy therapies for heart disease.

Prior to their current role, Scott worked at AveXis, Inc. from 2016 to 2021. Scott held the positions of Sr. Director of Technical Operations and Engineering, where they were responsible for capital projects and budgets across multiple sites, and Director of Engineering and Validation, where they managed engineering project delivery and equipment acquisition.

Scott also gained valuable experience at Amgen from 2005 to 2016. Scott served as a Sr. Project Manager, overseeing site-wide projects, and as a Senior Engineer, leading project teams and managing contractors.

Before joining Amgen, Scott worked at Honeywell PAI as an Office Manager and Lead Project Engineer. Scott managed an office and delivered projects during their tenure from 2004 to 2005.

Earlier in their career, Scott worked at Process Analysts Inc. as a Senior Automation Engineer, where they led projects for Amgen and Anheuser-Busch, focusing on automation and validation.

Scott began their career at Systech International as an Automation Engineer from 1995 to 1999.
