Michelle Cancilla has a diverse work experience in the education field. Michelle began their career as a 2nd grade teacher at Abby Kelley Foster Charter School in 2003. Michelle then moved on to Excel Academy Charter School, where they taught 7th grade math from 2005 to 2006 and 6th grade math from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, Michelle joined the United Neighborhood Organization Charter School Network, serving as a Master Teacher/Assistant Principal until 2012, and then as a School Director/Principal from 2012 to 2014. Michelle'smost recent position is as a Senior Director of School Support at Achievement Network (ANet), starting in 2014.
Michelle Cancilla earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Michigan State University in the years 1997 to 2002. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Organizational Change at Roosevelt University from 2011 to 2013.
