Katherine Mercer

Katherine Mercer is an experienced professional with a background in education, ministry, and corporate communications. Currently serving as the Director of Lifelong Faith Formation at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greensboro Inc since January 2022, Katherine also holds the position of Formation Specialist with The Diocese of West Missouri. Previous roles include Chaplain at St. Luke's Nursing Center Inc and Children's Ministry Coordinator at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Katherine has over 15 years of experience in corporate communications at SAS, a leading software company, and has a solid educational foundation, including a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Education in Guidance and Personnel Services from North Carolina State University. Additionally, Katherine holds a certificate in Adult Training and Development and has extensive experience teaching and training adults.
