Tamlin Watson

Senior Researcher (global) at THE DONKEY SANCTUARY

Tamlin Watson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in animal behavior and welfare. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at The Donkey Sanctuary since 2018, Tamlin conducts research on topics related to donkeys and mules, focusing on their roles in disaster relief and welfare in low- and middle-income countries. Additionally, Tamlin has been the Domestic Animal Projects Director at Barbary Macaque Awareness and Conservation (BMAC) since 2010. Previously, roles included Deputy Senior Donkey Welfare Adviser and Donkey Welfare Adviser at The Donkey Sanctuary, and Founder of Tamlin Watson Animal Behaviour Specialist, where behavior modification programs were designed for companion animals. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Zoology/Animal Behaviour and a Postgraduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from the University of Southampton, along with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from Aberystwyth University.
