Lashawn Thomas

LaShawn Thomas has extensive experience in leadership and training within the healthcare sector, currently serving as Appeals Manager, Group Benefits Performance Execution Lead, and Short Term Disability Team Leader at The Hartford since November 2019. Prior to this role, LaShawn worked as a Research and Training Specialist at the Florida Department of Health, Division of Disability from November 2014 to August 2016, where responsibilities included planning and delivering training for new employees in the South Florida Region and ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements. LaShawn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Florida Memorial University, completed in 2004.
