Elaine Kelly has a strong background in economics and research. Elaine joined The Health Foundation in 2018 as the Head of Economics. Prior to that, they worked at the Institute For Fiscal Studies, where they held the position of Senior Research Economist starting in 2014. Before that, they were a Research Economist at the same institution from 2011 to 2013.
Elaine Kelly's education history starts with their undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2003. Elaine pursued a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and graduated with a First-Class Honours (MA 1st). Following this, in 2004, they attended Harvard University for a year, where they studied Economics as a non-degree student. In 2005, they returned to UCL and completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics with Distinction the following year. Elaine Kelly then pursued a Ph.D. in Economics at UCL from 2006 to 2011, completing their doctoral studies.
