Rev. Lin Brataniec (nee Surch) has extensive experience in the field of workplace inclusion and diversity. Rev. Lin currently works as a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Business Partner at THE ICONIC. Prior to this, they worked as a freelance speaker and facilitator, focusing on workplace inclusion and empowering individuals to embrace their authenticity.
In 2018, Lin founded Beyond Gender, a global workplace inclusion program based in Sydney. Rev. Lin led the program, providing consultancy services, strategy sessions, and workshops to guide organizations in diversity and inclusion practices across various industries and sectors until February 2023.
Rev. Lin also served as a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant at Frucor Suntory in 2021 and 2022, where they implemented a new DEI strategy, established an Inclusion Council, mentored employee impact groups, and provided DEI frameworks and advice to ANZ, APAC, and global teams.
From 2018 to 2020, Lin worked as a Relationship Manager at the Australian Network on Disability, expanding their consulting and training expertise in accessibility and inclusion. Rev. Lin provided consultancy services to help organizations achieve their accessibility and inclusion goals.
Lin was an author for Star Observer, where they wrote articles on HR/DEI topics related to their expertise from March 2018 to February 2019.
Rev. Lin served as the National Program Manager at Benestar Group from August 2017 to July 2018, where they designed and delivered workplace well-being and diversity programs for both internal staff and external organizations across Australia.
Lin was involved in ACON's Pride in Diversity program as a Relationship Manager from August 2013 to August 2017. During their tenure, the program significantly grew in membership, and they guided organizations in implementing LGBTIQ workplace activities and initiatives. Rev. Lin also worked as a Workplace Trainer for LGBTI+ Inclusion within the program from August to November 2013.
Lin held several roles at Westpac from 2011 to 2013, including Chairperson of the Health and Wellbeing Committee, LGBTI Learning and Development Lead, and LGBTI Communications Lead within the GLOBAL Committee.
Rev. Lin started their career at BT as a Client Management Specialist from February 2011 to August 2013.

Rev. Lin Brataniec (nee Surch) has a diverse education history spanning various fields. Their most recent educational pursuit began in 2022 at Diversitas, where they are currently pursuing accreditation as an Unconscious Bias Awareness Trainer and Facilitator for Frucor Suntory. Prior to this, in 2020 to 2021, they attended Yale University and studied the Science of Well Being through an online program, focusing on psychology. From 2016 to 2019, Rev. Lin Brataniec attended One Spirit Learning Alliance where they pursued an Interfaith Ministry degree at the Interfaith Seminary. Rev. Lin also has experience from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) where they studied Influential Women and Presenting to Camera, without specific degree achievements, starting in 2014. Additionally, Rev. Lin Brataniec has been a Meditation Practitioner at the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University since 2012, with their studies ongoing until 2022.
