M. Lela Demby

M. Lela Demby serves as a Senior Program Manager at the Defense Health Agency, overseeing the Mental Health & Traumatic Brain Injury (MH/TBI) Memorandum of Agreement, which positions PHS specialists in military clinics for various service branches. Demby has extensive experience with the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service as a Commander, specializing in emergency mental health deployment and public health response. Previous roles include Chief of the Adult Outpatient Clinic at Tripler Army Medical Center, Clinic Chief for the US Army, and Sex Offender Forensic Psychologist at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Demby holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA from Princeton University.
