Muyangwa Muyangwa

Muyangwa Muyangwa currently serves as the Director General of the National Pension Scheme Authority, a position held since June 2022. Prior experience includes a substantial tenure at the International Monetary Fund from May 2011 to June 2022, where Muyangwa held various roles including Senior Economist and Technical Assistance Advisor, providing support for tax and customs reforms across multiple African nations. Previous roles also include Commissioner of VAT and later Commissioner of Customs Services at the Zambia Revenue Authority from 1995 to 2011, where strategic directions were implemented to enhance VAT administration and compliance. Muyangwa’s career began as a Management Trainee at Meridien Biao Bank from 1991 to 1995, focusing on customer care. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Business Administration with Fiscal Management from the University of Bath and a BBA in Business Administration from the University of Zambia.
