Gemma Davies is a Senior Research Fellow - Protection at the Overseas Development Institute, with extensive experience in humanitarian and human rights sectors. Previously, Gemma served as an Independent Consultant and as a Humanitarian Advisor for the Department for International Development (DFID), contributing significantly to civil protection, displacement policy, and multi-year protection programmes. Roles at organizations such as the Danish Refugee Council, Amnesty International, Save the Children, and Médecins Sans Frontières demonstrate a strong track record in leadership, advocacy, and operational management in crisis contexts. Gemma holds a Master's degree in Human Rights Law from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Music from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
