Gea Ermotti has a diverse range of work experience in the art industry. Gea started their career as a Gallery Assistant at Jonathan Cooper Park Walk Gallery in 2004. Gea then worked as a Gallery Assistant at Gail Gibson Gallery and as a Museum Docent at the Beijing Palace Museum.

In 2009, Gea became a Student Curator at Bowdoin College Art Museum, where they co-curated the exhibitions "Ink Tales" and "Displaying Devotion." Gea conducted in-depth research and assisted in the design and installation process.

Gea continued their curatorial work as a Curatorial Intern at the Guggenheim Museum in 2013, where they contributed to research projects and assisted in the exhibition planning process. Gea also worked as an Intern at Tyler Rollins Fine Art, supporting exhibition installation and assisting with gallery openings.

From 2013 to 2014, Gea interned at Paul Kasmin Gallery, where they updated the gallery's inventory and assisted with sales during Art Basel Miami Beach. Gea also helped with the gallery's outreach to Asian museums and collectors.

Gea's most recent role is at Pace Gallery, where they started as a Sales Assistant in 2014 and worked their way up to become an Associate Director. Gea is currently the Sales and Exhibitions Director, responsible for overseeing sales and exhibitions.

Gea Ermotti completed their education with a Master of Arts degree in Arts of China from Christie's Education London in 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Asian Studies Majors, with a minor in Political Science, from Bowdoin College, which they completed in 2011. In 2009-2010, they furthered their studies in Japanese language, art, and history at Sophia University. In 2006, they completed their A-levels in History of Art, German, History, and Theater Studies from Benenden school. Additionally, they briefly studied Chinese Language at Peking University in 2006-2007.
