Phil Fonner

Phil Fonner is an experienced project manager currently employed at The Systems Group since April 2019, having previously served as a principal maintenance analyst at TimkenSteel Corporation. With a strong background in maintenance reliability, Phil has held various leadership roles, including general manager of special projects and operations at The Systems Group and president of Breakwater Business Solutions Consulting. Phil's extensive experience in asset and technical management includes responsibility for ultra-deep semi-submersible rigs at Seadrill, where duties encompassed asset and budget management, technical reliability, maintenance planning, and class compliance. Prior to these roles, Phil gained expertise as a maintenance supervisor and millwright at Nucor Corporation, focusing on machine reliability and continuous improvement projects, and as a millwright and reliability engineer at SES - Steel Equipment Specialists, where skills in predictive maintenance and machine failure analysis were developed. Phil holds an associate's degree in Industrial Technology/Mechanical Engineering from Stark State College of Technology.
