Tim Leenaers

Tim Leenaers has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Tim started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Ford Motor Company, where they developed applications to streamline testing procedures. Later, they worked as a Software Engineer at Optimise-IT, where they focused on developing scanning applications and creating websites. As a Software Engineer and Freelancer at BC-Matic, Tim specialized in developing applications and APIs for Point-of-Sales terminals. Tim then joined Bartaro as a Freelance Software Engineer, working on various web development projects. Currently, Tim is employed at THEO Technologies as a Product Owner and Full Stack Developer, responsible for the THEOplayer Portal and THEOlive API & management console. Tim has also mentored junior colleagues during their time at the company. Throughout their career, Tim has gained expertise in various technologies such as React, Angular, NodeJS, GraphQL, Typescript, AWS, Google Cloud, and databases like MongoDB, NoSQL, Firebase, and MySQL.

Tim Leenaers has a strong educational background in computer science. Tim pursued their Bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics from Hogeschool PXL from 2011 to 2014. Following their bachelor's degree, they enrolled in a transition program at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2014 to 2016 to further strengthen their knowledge in computer science. Tim then obtained their Master of Science degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2015 to 2018, specializing in computer science.
