As Chief Talent Officer, Jill maintains the strategic oversight across all aspects of Thompson Hine’s recruiting, professional development and diversity, equity and inclusion functions. She routinely collaborates with firm partners, internal recruiting staff and external resources to identify legal talent most likely to succeed at the firm based on the core competency platform.
Jill also institutes and implements training and professional development programs to support the career management and retention of non-partner lawyers, including programs tailored to meet the needs of diverse and women lawyers. As a member of the firm’s Lawyer Personnel Committee, she also manages all facets of associate development, including employed lawyer evaluations, advancement, compensation decisions, mentoring and coaching endeavors.
She is actively involved in the firm’s comprehensive SmartPaTH™ initiative and works in tandem with practice group leaders, Executive Committee liaisons and finance staff to devise alternative staffing models and programs to propel hiring or engagement of alternative legal talent. She supports these efforts by facilitating the recruitment and retention of flexible talent to achieve optimal staffing for client projects.
Jill brings more than 20 years of experience in talent management to the firm. Prior to joining Thompson Hine, she worked for a national law firm located in the Greater Chicago area.
