Geoff Maksym

Geoff Maksym has been working in the field since 2000 when they became a Professor at Dalhousie University, where they were the Director and Professor of the School of Biomedical Engineering. In 2011, they co-founded THORASYS Inc. and has since served as their Scientific Advisor.

Geoff Maksym completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 1997 to 2000 in the field of Respiratory Cellular Mechanics. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University between 1993 and 1997. Geoff also earned a MEng in Electrical Engineering - Respiratory from McGill University between 1991 and 1993. Geoff'seducation began with a BEng in Engineering Physics from Dalhousie University between 1986 and 1991.
