Dee Atkins

Dee Atkins is a seasoned leader in community engagement and development, currently serving as the Chief of Community Engagement and Equity at Thresholds, one of Illinois’ largest community-based mental health providers since September 2021. Previous roles include serving as Chief Development Officer at Marillac St. Vincent Family Services, where responsibilities encompassed marketing, public relations, and diversity initiatives, and Vice President of Institutional Advancement at LINK Unlimited Scholars, focusing on fund development and communications. Dee also held positions at Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare and Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, managing communications and major fundraising efforts. Additionally, Dee has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor at East-West University, teaching technical and grant writing. Educational qualifications include a Master's of Science in Journalism from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Professional Communications from East-West University.
