Sonja Endres

Sonja Endres is a Sustainability Data Manager at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems since July 2023. Previously, Sonja held the role of Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement and system responsibility for laboratories at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research from February 2021 to June 2023, where responsibilities included sustainability criteria development, project oversight, and leading the ICES working group "Greening the Research Fleet." Experience also includes project management in internationalization and innovation at WTSH GmbH from January 2019 to January 2021, and scientific research and project leadership at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel. Sonja completed a PhD at Kiel University in 2013, holds a certificate in Sustainability Management from the University of Bayreuth, and possesses a strong academic background in marine sciences and biology.
