Tim Hughes

Tim leads TNTP’s consulting work in Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming, with a focus on helping educators, schools, and school systems expand access to opportunity.

Previously, as a Partner, Tim worked to develop and implement innovative teacher and leader training programs. He led TNTP’s efforts in Nevada, which included a new teacher training site, a leadership development program for aspiring school leaders, and efforts aimed at supporting early childhood leaders and teachers.

Before joining TNTP, Tim was a Vice President at Teach For America where he co-led the teacher preparation team that oversaw nine national teacher training institutes and also supported local programs in developing their own innovative teacher training programs. In addition, he helped launch Teach For America’s first rural teacher training site in the Mississippi Delta.
