Saurabh Vaidya

Saurabh Vaidya is a Research and Development Engineer at Toray Performance Materials Corporation, where responsibilities include project management for a $600K process automation technology and the development of carbon fiber prepreg tapes. Previously, at the McNAIR Center for Aerospace Innovation and Research, Saurabh led a project on merging thermoplastic and epoxy-based composites, earning recognition at CAMX2021. Experience also includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of South Carolina, instructing on composite materials and flight simulation. Earlier, Saurabh gained hands-on experience through a mechanical engineering internship at Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Limited. Saurabh holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Aerospace from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University.
