Ian Rowswell

Ian Rowswell has a considerable amount of experience in leadership and management roles. Ian worked as the Deputy Director of Finance at Torbay Council starting from May 2023. Before that, from April 2015 to May 2023, they served as the Head of Support Services for Education at Support Services for Education. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing various support services in the education sector. Prior to joining Support Services for Education, Ian worked at Southwest One Ltd. as the Head of Shared Services - Finance and Corporate Support. During their time there, they managed a large team and implemented new financial systems across multiple partners.

Ian Rowswell began their education at Wiltshire College & University Centre in 1987. Ian obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Business and Finance from this institution, completing their studies in 1989. In 1989, they continued their education at the same college, earning an Association of Accounting Technicians degree in Accountancy, which they completed in 1991. Following this, they attended the University of the West of England from 1992 to 1995, where they pursued a Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy (CIPFA) degree in Accountancy.
