John O'Daniel

John O'Daniel, ICMA-CM, serves as the Town Manager for the Town of Atlantic Beach since March 2023. Previously, John held the position of Town Manager for the Town of Richlands, VA from March 2021 to January 2023 and served as Town Administrator for both the Town of Williamston from September 2018 to March 2021 and the Town of Bladenboro from October 2015 to September 2018. In these roles, John has provided general supervision of employees, including handling personnel decisions for various departments. John also gained early experience as a summer intern in the Chatham County Manager's Office, where efforts focused on addressing sales tax leakage. Educationally, John holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Local Government from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from North Carolina State University.
