Rick Farr Sphr

Rick Farr, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a wealth of experience in the field of human resources. Rick is currently the Chief Human Resource Officer at the Town of Easton, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Delmarva Human Resource Solutions from March 2016 to January 2022.

Rick has also held leadership roles in the human resources department at various organizations. Rick served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at City First DC from 2017 to 2021, and as the Vice President of Human Resources at Preferred Systems Solutions from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they were the Executive Director of Human Resources at Realterm in 2014.

In addition, Rick has experience in the technology and government contracting sectors. Rick worked in the human resources department at Dynis from 2011 to 2014 and at InDyne Inc, NASA Johnson Space Center from 2008 and 2011.

Their career in human resources began in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Senior Human Resource Advisor from 1985 to 2007.

Additionally, Rick has completed an Executive MBA with a specialization in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Park University.

In terms of certifications, Rick has an FAA Airframe & Powerplant License from the Federal Aviation Administration. Rick has also completed the Academic Instructor School and holds the title of Master Instructor, both obtained from the United States Air Force. Rick is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by SHRM. Furthermore, they are licensed and certified in Situational Leadership® II (SLII®) by The Ken Blanchard Companies.
