Derek Abbotts

Derek Abbotts has extensive experience in urban planning and development, currently serving as the Manager of Development Planning for the Town of New Tecumseth since January 2013. In addition to this role, Derek is also a Brand Ambassador for BLADE Carbon Wheels and previously held the same position at MultiSport Canada in 2019. Derek's background includes significant consulting experience with Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. and Quadrant Advisory Group Limited, focusing on demographics, land needs forecasting, and policy analysis. Earlier roles include serving as a Level 3 Umpire for Baseball Ontario from 2009 to 2017 and a Junior Planner at Cuesta Planning Consultants Inc. Derek holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University and a GIS Technician diploma from Mohawk College.
