Aleksandra Pitera

Aleksandra Pitera has a diverse work experience, beginning with an Intern role at Wroclaw Medical University in 2013. Aleksandra then held a Summer Internship role at the University of Reading in 2015, followed by a Summer Internship role at Technopole Hélioparc in 2014. In 2016, they held a Pharmacist role at Ziko Apteka Sp. z o.o. and a Research Student in Neuroscience and Laboratory Demonstrator role at the University of Southampton. In 2017, they were the Local Group Student Representative at the British Neuroscience Association (BNA) and in 2018, they held an Event Manager role at Pint of Science. Most recently, in 2020, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) and is currently a Senior Scientist at Transine Therapeutics.

Aleksandra Pitera completed their Master of Pharmacy degree from Wroclaw Medical University in 2016. Aleksandra then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Southampton, which they completed in 2020.
