Phil Degroot

Phil DeGroot has extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as the Manager of Product & Platform at Travelers Canada since May 2008. Throughout their tenure at Travelers Canada, Phil has held several key positions, including Underwriting Manager, Senior Underwriter for Select Express, and Commercial Lines Underwriter. Prior to this role, Phil was the Team Lead in the Retention/Billing Department at PetCare Pet Insurance from November 2005 to May 2008. Phil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University, obtained between 2002 and 2005, and is pursuing the Chartered Insurance Professional designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada, a program started in 2008.
