Oliver Kinne has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Oliver began their career as a Partner at McNaught-Davis and Kinne, where they established a website design consultancy. Oliver then worked as a Central Services Manager at PLASA, overseeing IT infrastructure and managing internal design and print production.
In 2014, Oliver joined TUI Group as a DevOps Engineer, responsible for maintaining website infrastructure and collaborating with the Drupal development team. Oliver continued this role when Travelopia was split from TUI Group in 2016, managing a large web hosting infrastructure.
Starting in 2018, Oliver pursued their passion for tabletop games, founding Tabletop Games Blog and becoming the Owner and Editor. Oliver also became an Associate Writer for There Will Be Games and worked as a Co-Host, Producer, and Editor for the Tabletop Inquisition Podcast.
Oliver continued their involvement in the tabletop gaming industry by starting their own venture, Make My Game Travel, as the Owner and Translator in 2019. In 2020, they joined Asmodee United Kingdom as a Board Game Demonstrator, engaging consumers in the hobby and teaching them about the company's products.
Oliver's love for the tabletop gaming industry led him to become a Presenter for the Brainwaves Podcast in 2023, where they prepare and reads out news stories. Additionally, they continue to operate Tabletop Games Blog, releasing articles, videos, and podcasts.
Throughout their career, Oliver Kinne has demonstrated a strong background in technology, project management, and content creation.
Oliver Kinne completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Hertfordshire in 1996-1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Informatik from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) from 1993 to 1997. Oliver'ssecondary education includes an Abitur degree from Askanisches Gymnasium in the years 1987 to 1992. In terms of additional certifications, Oliver obtained the Google Analytics for Beginners certification from Google in October 2017. Oliver also holds certifications such as SUSE Certified Linux Administrator, CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI), LPIC-1, From Nand to Tetris / Part I from Coursera Verified Certificates, Secure Web Development Certificate of Attendance from WhiteHat Security, and Agile Project Management Foundation from APMG International™, all obtained within the years 2014 to 2017.
