Dmitry Bakaev

Dmitry Bakaev has a diverse range of work experience. Dmitry most recently worked at Trilogy as the SVP of Technical Product Management and Product CTO. In this role, they led strategic programs to transform group-wide operations into an automated, software-managed enterprise. Prior to Trilogy, Dmitry was the Head of Product and Co-Founder at AboveBoard, where they developed a SaaS platform leveraging public blockchains and smart contracts. Dmitry also worked as an Adviser at crypto.tickets, where they focused on product development, fundraising, and financial models. Dmitry has experience in the mining industry as well, serving as CTO/COO at Semmous Lion Mining and as VP of Operations and GM of the Regional Subsidiary at International Petroleum Limited. In addition, they have a background in software engineering, having worked as a Senior R&D Engineer and Software Lead at JDSU, and as a Software Engineer at Acterna. Dmitry brings a wealth of experience in technical product management, operations, and entrepreneurship to their work.

Dmitry Bakaev's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Penn State University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. During their time at Penn State, they also pursued minors in Business and Leadership. Subsequently, Dmitry pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed from 2000 to 2001.

After a gap of several years, Dmitry decided to further their education in the field of business. Dmitry obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Venture Development & Finance and Private Equity from Columbia Business School and London Business School. Dmitry attended both institutions simultaneously from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Dmitry completed an EMBA-Global program with a focus on Venture Development during their time at London Business School.

In terms of additional certifications, Dmitry has acquired various qualifications. Dmitry obtained the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2017. In December 2016, they became a CFA Level III candidate after enrolling with the CFA Institute. Dmitry also attended the Trilogy CTO Bootcamp in March 2018 and the Trilogy Management Bootcamp in January 2019, earning certifications from Trilogy.
