Lynley Nakano

Lynley Nakano has a diverse work experience with multiple roles in different companies. Lynley started their career as a Sales Associate/Sales Leader at Pier 1 Imports in 2009 and was promoted to Sales Leader in 2012. In this role, they provided customer service, managed the loading and unloading of merchandise, and led a team to achieve sales goals. From 2014 to 2017, Lynley worked at Pier 1 Imports as an Assistant Store Manager where they trained associates, managed store sales performance, controlled expenses, and recruited new employees. Lynley then became a Store Manager at Pier 1 Imports from 2017 to 2018, further developing their skills in sales and customer service. In 2014, Lynley also worked as a Wildlife Control Officer on a contract basis at Services Environnementaux Faucon/Falcon Environmental Services, focusing on controlling nuisance animals at a landfill for the safety of workers and the community. From 2018 to 2023, they joined Shopify and held multiple roles including Support Advisor, Support Specialist (French), and Team Lead. In these positions, they provided support to customers and managed a team. Most recently, starting in 2023, Lynley became a Customer Support Manager at Trolley.

Lynley Nakano attended Vanier College from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Technical DEC degree in Environmental And Wildlife Management. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Creating a High-Performance Culture certification from LinkedIn in December 2022, a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Aveta Business Institute in November 2022, a Six Sigma Foundations certification from LinkedIn in October 2022, an Apprentice Falconer certification from Centre de Fauconnerie Autourserie du Quebec Inc in April 2018, a Basic Wildlife Rehabilitation certification from The International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (IWRC) in March 2017, and a Possession and Acquisition Firearms license from Fédération québécoise de tir in March 2017.
