James Parker

James Parker has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. James currently serves as the Head of Talent at Tropic, a company that simplifies SaaS purchasing and management. Prior to this, James worked as an Investor - Limited Partner at FOG Ventures. From 2020 to 2022, they were the Director of Talent Acquisition at Shogun. James also held the position of a Talent & HR Leadership Council Member at Sales Assembly from 2020 to 2021. James served as an Advisory Board Member at Chicago Recruiters from 2019 to 2021. James gained extensive experience in talent acquisition at Glassdoor, where they held multiple roles, including Head of Talent Acquisition and Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition. Before that, they were the Head of Talent Acquisition at XSport Fitness and a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Motorola Mobility. James also worked as a Manager, Sales and Talent Acquisition at LA Fitness and in Advancement Fundraising at Huntington University.

James Parker obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Exercise & Movement Science, Sports & Exercise Studies, & Psychology from Huntington University. Before attending Huntington University, James Parker completed their high school education at Harvest Christian School, where they obtained a Cambridge International High School degree. Additionally, James has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Collaboration Principles and Process, Decision-Making Strategies, Delegating Tasks, Developing Adaptability as a Manager, Strategic Thinking, Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers, Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Giving and Receiving Feedback, and Having Difficult Conversations.
