Mickie Anderson

Mickie Anderson has extensive work experience in journalism and communications. Mickie is currently working as the Associate Director of External Communications at UF Health since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at The Gainesville Sun for seven years as the Local News Editor. Mickie also worked at the University of Florida as the News Editor of UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences for eight years. Earlier in their career, they held editorial and reporting roles at The Commercial Appeal, Orlando Sentinel, and The Tampa Tribune, where they covered various beats and received recognition for their investigative reporting.

Mickie Anderson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1982 to 1987.
