Dingyu Hu has a diverse range of work experience in the field of UX research. They began working as a User Experience Researcher at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center in 2017, where they conducted evaluative research and led a team in analyzing user testing sessions. They also worked as a Product Manager Intern at Tencent Music Entertainment Group in 2019. In 2020, Dingyu joined Cisco as a UX Researcher and Tech Pod as a UX Researcher, where they conducted strategic and evaluative research to inform business decisions. Dingyu then worked as a Graduate Research Associate at the VECTR Lab before joining Stanford University as an Ergonomist & UX Research Intern. They later worked as a UX Researcher at Roku Inc. in 2021 and 2022 before transitioning to Photon as a UX Researcher. Dingyu currently holds the position of Lead UX Researcher at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science.

Dingyu Hu obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a Design Minor from The Ohio State University in 2017. Hu then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from The Ohio State University in 2019. In 2021, Hu completed a Master of Science degree in Human Factors & Ergonomics from San Jose State University. Hu also obtained additional certifications in UX Research: Mobile Diary Studies from LinkedIn in 2023, and UX for Voice: Planning and Implementation from LinkedIn in 2021.
