Thobekile Gambu

Thobekile Gambu is a highly experienced professional specializing in sustainability and environmental management, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at DEVAC INVEST AFRICA and Enlit Africa, along with a leadership role as Energy Sub-sector Lead at the Women Economic Assembly. Thobekile has been with uMngeni-uThukela Water since November 2011, where responsibilities include driving the sustainability agenda as Sustainability Lead and overseeing various environmental management initiatives. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, complemented by a Master's in Environmental Management and a Master's in Chemistry, among other degrees. Thobekile's commitment to enhancing sustainability performance is further demonstrated through active participation in various boards, task forces, and a focus on water quality management throughout a diverse career.
