Carolina Raboni Ferreira is an experienced professional in human rights law, currently serving as an Associate Human Rights Officer with the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Mozambique since March 2023. In this role, Carolina provides technical assistance to security forces on legal frameworks related to non-international armed conflict and counterterrorism, focusing on the protection of civilians and vulnerable groups. Previously, Carolina held a Human Rights Intern position at the United Nations, where responsibilities included documenting cases against human rights defenders and developing a database to support their protection. Carolina's legal career includes various positions such as Lawyer at Muniz Advogados and Portos do Paraná, as well as clerkship roles in esteemed legal institutions. Academically, Carolina holds an LLM in Public International Law and Human Rights Law from the University of Melbourne and a Master's in Comparative Law from Universidade Federal do Paraná, alongside a Bachelor's in Law from the same institution.
