Mohamed Okash is an experienced professional with a diverse background in climate and environmental policy, education, and social entrepreneurship. As the Founding Director of the ICE Institute since January 2023, Mohamed leads initiatives to address climate and development challenges. Simultaneously, a Senior Lecturer at SIMAD University since February 2020, engagement focuses on equipping students with skills in areas such as Design Thinking and Social Entrepreneurship. Additionally, contributions as a Faculty Member at LéO Africa Institute and multiple roles within the Global Shapers Community highlight a commitment to youth leadership and community engagement. Mohamed also serves in various capacities including Facilitator for ChangemakerXchange, Executive Director and Editor in Chief of Somali Business Review, Climate Reality Leader, and Generation Change Fellow at the United States Institute of Peace. Educational qualifications include a MicroMasters in Design Thinking and a Master's degree in Development Studies from Kampala International University.
