Joe Ellis, MBA, serves as the Director of AI/ML Engineering at UnitedHealth Group since July 2016, where significant achievements include leading high-impact AI projects that resulted in 30% cost savings per case and generating an additional $12 million in new sales through innovative healthcare Transformer-based models. Prior to this role, Joe acted as a Principal Data Scientist, focusing on the implementation of AI solutions in Computer Vision and NLP, and as a Senior Data Analytics Consultant, where foundational knowledge in clinical data exchange developed. Joe's consulting experience includes roles at LTCG and PTC, as well as an internship at Thomson Reuters and service as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the US Navy.
